Humax epg not updating
Next time Humax refused to do anything, despite the fact that I had purchased the box from Amazon earlier this year from Amazon and have a 3yr warranty on the product. David Ward Well, I read all the reviews and thought to myself 'it really can be that bad'.
I had high hopes that the recent software update would address the issues with performance and a poor EPG but that's not the case. What a shame, you could always rely on Humax product to be excellent but they have definitely dropped the ball here.
There is also missing functionality from my old Fox 2 model such as the inability to skip 24 hours in the EPG and the old missing 'i' button, a small but very irritating omission. Freeview Play is a waste of time, the Apps like i Player, More 4 etc are much better and they work better on my Samsung telly. 1st one delivered without working RF section and replaced. Sent email to Humax to get it replaced and no reply after four days (promised 24-48 hours).
Bought to replace a much loved Humax HDR T2 which lasted for years without issues until it finally gave up the ghost.Don't do this to yourself, go buy one of humax's other excellent products. While almost every TV channel now offers some flavour of a catch-up service, many still rely on their DVR to watch TV on their schedule.I used to be a massive fan of humax, to a point where I'd actively slag everyone that I know that had sky plus players. So after my last humax youview player died (again lasted 2.5years third so far) I decided to buy a another 2TB humax player unfortunately the only ones that were available in 2tb were these fvr4000. The standbye light is the same light when the box is recording so at times I don't know if the box is on or not.
